The event has been established to promote leadership, involvement and the role of many women in what is a highly competitive sport, to shine a spotlight on what high performance demands of us and our teams in order to succeed at whatever we take on. Annalise Murphy, silver medal winner in the Olympic sailing event, is our own very fine example of what comes from a relentless pursuit of the highest levels of performance.
Why are Pathfinder sponsoring this event?
Pathfinder pride ourselves in working with diverse teams of people in business to help them raise their performance to a level well beyond what they thought was possible, and the Pathfinder Women at the Helm regatta provides an opportunity for us to challenge ourselves and those we work with even further. High performing teams matter and quite often are the most important differentiator among the competition – in business and on the water. Our teams in work, just like crews on the water, face the same challenges and both need strong leaders. In co-designing and sponsoring the first event of its kind in Ireland, Pathfinder are supporting women ‘taking the helm’ and leading their crews to compete with over 100 other boat crews during this two day regatta.
Do you know of any female sailors in your organisation that would be interested in putting a crew together to compete in the regatta?
We would love to encourage your female leaders to join others in making this event a success, that will be both challenging and rewarding.
