Tom Byrne, Partner with Pathfinder, has been invited to speak in Edinburgh on the challenges posed by Brexit, but also the opportunities that may exist for businesses post-Brexit.
The event is being organised by Causeway: Ireland Scotland Business Exchange, formerly Irish Business Network Scotland (IBNS). It is a not-for-profit organisation that connects high level business people from Ireland and Scotland to identify and explore new collaborative business opportunities.
The session will take place at 6:00 pm on the 18th January in Edinburgh. The theme is “The only certainty is uncertainty – embrace change to drive prosperity”. The aim of the session is to provide an up-to-date briefing on Brexit and to empower businesses to embrace change and help their business grow.
The event is being hosted by Judith O’Leary of Represent, and chaired by Tom Murden, Editor of Daily Business. Tom Byrne, Partner with Pathfinder and Brigid Whoriskey are the two guest speakers for this event.
Tom is a board member of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce and sits on its Brexit Sub-Committee. He is a former board member of Co-Operation Ireland, the North-South peace body.
The event will look at how businesses can prepare for shocks, and provide some practical advice on how Brexit can be turned into an opportunity.
